Job, election

I did it. I applied for that job. I’m a little worried – I’m in a good location now, what if that location is awful? Well, I have plenty of time to reconsider. Just because I applied doesn’t mean that I’ll be hired (obviously) and even if I’m offered the job, I don’t have to say yes to it. We’ll see what happens.

In other news, I’m getting frustrated with some of the political baloney that is showing up in my inbox as of late. (Hm, how is “inbox” NOT in my spell check?) Anyway, I have a few friends that are so negative about the whole election. Every new post is something about how both parties suck, but mostly about how MY party sucks. I’m to the point that I’m about to start culling my feeds, seriously. I hate all the negativity. I just keep telling myself that these people are my friends for OTHER reasons and that the election is almost over.

Oh, and speaking of negative election stuff – how ’bout that Sarah Palin? Quite an interesting report on “Troopergate”. I have not yet had the opportunity to read the whole 264 pages, but I’m sure I will.

Business stuff

Work has started to pick up again for our web design business and *ta da* Tasha has her internet back! Just in time! We have a site to design for that race car driver, we have a couple of eBay jobs to do, I have work to do for www.thumbmonkey.com and I have a Pro Store to design. So… busy busy busy!

As far as my “normal” job goes, still no word on my promotion. Craig says I should know by the end of the month, but to be brutally honest, I don’t think I got the job. And you know what? It’s ok if I didn’t. I don’t think I will move to another store if I don’t get the promotion – I will just continue in the capacity that I’m in right now and I’ll be the best sales person I can be.

Any StumbleUpon users? I adore StumbleUpon, but it sure can eat up a whole day. Anyway, I was perusing through it on my lunch hour today and I noticed that every other link led to an article about Sarah Palin. And every article I read was negative and pointed out her lies and/or lack of experience. It just makes me wonder – how is she so popular? Everything I see is negative, everyone I speak to has not-so-nice things to say, but yet she supposedly has high approval ratings. I can’t wait for this election to be over… I just can’t take all the stress! Oh, and speaking of stress! I sent in my voter registration weeks and weeks ago, but the online voter verification thing says I am not registered. And on Obama’s site it says Wisconsin is not accepting new registrations. WTF? What do I do now?
