My husband is easy. When it comes to buying stuff, that is. (He’s actually pretty easy when it comes to other stuff, too…)

We started discussing our furniture last night. Our furniture is actually pretty new. We bought it less than two years ago. Um… before we had dogs. Well, somehow we got talked into this Microfiber stuff. (I think I even blogged about it, but I’m a little too lazy to go searching for it right this second.) The salesman went on and on about this stuff, how easy it is to maintain, etc. Yeah well… you guys know this microfiber stuff, right? The stuff that when you swipe your hand one way, it’s light and you swipe your hand the other way it’s dark. Yeah, the stuff that every drop of water, every crumb, every doggie drool spot shows up like a giant stain? Yeah, that stuff. It’s super easy to clean, the salesman had that right. It’s also super easy to dirty.

So, last night we started discussing new furniture – specifically leather furniture. There are pros and cons to having it, but we think it will be much easier to keep clean than that crappy microfiber. I knew that I wanted leather, I just had to talk Ted into agreeing with me. So, searching through Steinhafel’s online, I saw they had three years interest free financing. So I texted him with that tidbit of info and he pretty much called me right away. “Three years! That’s like $20 a month!”

Guess who’s getting leather furniture?

Anyway… now we have the task of selling our fairly new microfiber furniture. Does anyone have any experience with Craigslist? I was thinking of posting it there and in our local paper. Also, what should I charge? The sofa and rocker/recliner are both in great condition. Once I clean them they will look brand new.
