That really sucks. I'd stop over, but I'm on my way to Michigan to see my Oma today. I really hope you find a few faithful people, if not just your family to enjoy yourself, even a little on New Year's. I got kind of a dose of the same thing at my birthday party. Only three people of a couple of dozen I invited showed up. (well, some had good excusex). I had a good time anyway, though, cuz a bunch of the people who lived at the co-op that it was at showed up. I always show up for the first thing I am invited to, unless I'm invited to two things close together, and then, occasionally I'll try to do both. New Year's is different, though, cuz the main part of it is toward the end of the party, so you gotta decide where you want to be at that time. I'd pick the second half for whoever invited me first.
